The software supplies the ability to give away free things at registration. What those free things are is based on the type of price plan they are immediately registration to whether fee or subscription based. Note that clients can only register into user groups and not directly into price plans.

If the client registers into a user group with fee based pricing attached they can be issues free tokens at registration. Tokens current cover the cost of listing placement and can have expiration dates attached to them. For more on how to issue tokens at registration consult this support wiki page.

Also note that if you use the account balance gateway within your site you can issue "initial account balances" that are given to each individual to a user that registers into the user group with an "initial account balance" value set. Once the site balance addon is enabled in the following admin tool:

ADDONS > MANAGE ADDONS

You can then go to the following in the individual user group admin tool for each user group:

And you'll then find the following admin tool setting:

This allows you to issue free subscriptions to a user at registration. This simply gives that user a subscription upon completion of registration. You set the length of the free subscription period. To set go to the user group the subscription based price plan is attached to and click to edit it's details in the user group admin tool. You'll see the following:

When you click the indicated button you'll see:

You only need to set the length of the free subscription within the above setting.

After their free subscription expires to continue placing listings they will need to purchase one of the subscriptions choices you setup in the price plan attached to.
