To add new user groups into the software you would need to install and enable the Enterprise Pricing addon within the following admin tool:
ADDONS > MANAGE ADDONS
Once done you will see the “add new price plans” button as you see in the following screenshot:
Once you click to add a new user group you will see the following:
Within that screenshot you'll see:
<tip c n>Note that once a user group has subscription based price plans or fee based price plans attached to it at creation only that type of price plan can be attached to it in the future. Once a subscription based user group ALWAYS a subscription based user group….the same for fee based</tip>
If you choose to attach fee based pricing make sure to click that option and once done you'll see the choices to allow you to attach the price plans for this user group. ONLY fee based price plans will be choices. You must attach price plans to a user group before it will be added to the system.
If you have GeoCore Auction or GeoCore Classifieds editions of the software you will only see the ability to attach an auction based price plan OR classified ad based price plan according to the edition you have.
If you choose to attach subscription based pricing click the subscription based option and then you'll see the possible subscription based price plans you can attach like below. Note that ONLY subscription based price plans will appear as choices AND ONLY subscription based price plans that have at least one subscription choice attached to it.
ONLY GeoCore Max: Another choice to make in this screen is the subscriptions choices that will be overwritten. For any specific user group there is only one set of subscription periods. Since each price plan needs to have at least one subscription period to end up as a choice to attach to a user group and only one set of subscription periods can be used for a user group you must choose which price plans subscription periods will overwrite the others. If you have added the same subscription periods to both price plans this choice is not useful but will still need to be made. But this also means that you only need to add the subscription periods you want to use to one price plan and leave the other with the minimum token one period….then within this process choose which to overwrite the other. Once both subscription based price plans have been attached to the same user group you only need to make changes in the subscription periods of one of the price plans to affect the subscription periods within either price plan.
If you have GeoCore Auction or GeoCore Classifieds editions of the software you will only see the ability to attach an auction based price plan OR classified ad based price plan according to the edition you have.
An example of the above: Price Plan "A" is a Subscription-Based Price Plan set up specifically for Auction Listings. Its subscription periods may be as follows:
Price Plan "B" is also a Subscription-Based Price Plan, but set up specifically for Classified Listings. Its subscription periods may be as follows:
So, if you selected Price Plan "A" in the first dropdown and Price Plan "B" in the second dropdown, you now would have a conflict when the user goes to pay for their subscription because the subscription periods do not match. The user cannot have two subscriptions running at the same time. Therefore, you have to decide which Price Plan's subscription periods ("A's periods" or "B's periods") will be used when they pay for their subscription. Remember, this setting is ONLY for the subscription period itself. All other fees (Listing Extras - Attention Getters, Featured Listings, etc.) will still be applied based upon Price Plan A's fees or Price Plan B's fees.
