Using the subscription feature you can effectively charge to have access to the auction or classified details page of all listings on your site. If you decide to use this configuration no one will be able to view the listings details unless they have a current site subscription within the system. To accomplish this you must of course use the site subscription feature explained within the site subscription price plan feature page. And then you must set the following admin tool setting to "yes":

SITE SETUP > BROWSING SETTINGS > Require Subscription to View Listings

Once you set the above to "yes" only those users that have a current site subscription on the site will be able to view auction or classified details pages on your site.

Controlling access to the auction or classified details page controls access to features that only exist in that page.

Further highlights of this feature:

• bidding on auctions to only those with a site subscription. If a user cannot get to the listing details page they cannot bid on an auction
• contact the seller to only those with a site subscription. Without access to the details page the person without a subscription cannot use the contact seller feature.
• site can still charge to place an auction or classified. You can separate clients into user groups that place listings and those that only view listings. Users in the fee based user groups can place listings (charge them or not) while those users in a subscription based user group can actually purchase a subscription to view, contact, bid,….etc on those listings.
• classified voting is off limits to those that do not have a current site subscription.
