Price Plan Plan Item Configuration

Within each price plan there are specific configurations for specific features. This allows you to control these items on a price plan by price basis.

Highlights of plan items:

  • Ability to control some features of the software on a price plan by price plan basis
  • Ability to set admin approval on individual plan items before those "plan item changes" can go live on the site

Current plan items under individual price plan control:

  • images - number of images to allow to be attached to a listing and require admin approval for a listing with images
  • auctions - enable buy now auctions, enable buy now only auctions, enable reverse auctions, additional buy now only controls and require admin approval to place an auction
  • classified - require admin approval when placing a classified ad
  • auction final fees - require admin approval when a auction has final fees
  • custom admin fees - require admin approval when admin custom fee is purchased
  • listing changed by admin - require admin approval when any admin in the system changes a listing
  • edit listing - require admin approval when a client user makes a change to their listing. The listing is still live but their changes are held for admin approval before they go live
  • listing renewal/upgrade - set start time to reset if renewed, reset start times when upgrading and require admin approval for listing renewals and upgrades
  • off-site (youtube.com) videos - set minimum # of videos required to place a listing, set maximum # of videos that can be attached to an individual listing, set # of free videos if charging and set the charge per video to attach to an individual listing
  • subscriptions - set grace period after subscription expiration before the subscription is expired from the system and require admin approval when a subscription is purchased
  • verify account - enable this feature per price plan, set requirement to place listings with verified account, set requirement to be verified before bidding on an auction, set the ability to charge and the charge for verification

Some addon specific price plan items

  • charitable badge - enable for a specific price plan, the cost of the badge for users in that price plan and require admin approval when a listing is placed with a charitable badge is purchased within it
  • account balance - require admin approval when something is placed using this payment type
  • storefront - enable/disable this addon for each price plan, set the storefront subscription choices allowed for those in this price plan and require admin approval when a storefront is purchased.

Where are these managed in the admin tool?

Look within the following for each price plan:

PRICING > PRICE PLANS HOME > [EDIT] (next to a price plan) > COST SPECIFIC > (scroll to bottom of that page)

The above mentioned section looks like that in the red box in the following screenshot:

Within that screenshot you'll notice:

  1. The "require admin approval" buttons for any plan items that can be set to require admin approval for that specific price plan item if it's a part of the order. Note the complete order is placed "on hold" until admin approval until the admin approves that item in the order. If you see "require admin approval" that item is NOT required for the order to go live. If you see "stop requiring admin approval" that item will need to be approved within the order item before the order can go live.
  2. Name of the price plan item
  3. The configure button to further manage that price plan item feature. Not all price plan items require additional configuration. Any price plan items that require additional configuration will have a "configure" button next to it.
