The module can be set to display the newest or ending soonest listings on your site.

2. An internal admin label for this module…only appears in the admin tool
3. This is this module's placement tag. Where ever you place this tag within a page template of your custom template set this module will appear. Additionally you can override many of the configurations below by passing configuration parameters within this tag as explained in the module parameter passing support wiki page here
4. Control which listing types will display within this module
5. Control the display order of listings within this module. By default the order is newest first (thus newest module) but you can show ending soonest if you like through this setting
6. This controls the max number of listings to display within this module. If you set the module to display pagination this will then be the max number of listings to display within a page
7. This controls whether to display the header row which contains column headers for grid format display.
8. This allows you to control whether to display a thumbnail photo from the listing itself, a "photo icon" if the listing has photos or to default to the site configuraton for this within the SITE SETUP > BROWSING SETTINGS admin tool
9. This is the max width of the thumbnail if you display one. The original height/width ratios of the uploaded image are preserved.
10. This is the max height of the thumbnail if you display one. The original height/width ratios of the uploaded image are preserved.
11. This allows you to display the full description of the listing within this module if you wish
12. If you do not display the full description but still display the description this will be the max number of characters from that listing displayed. Note that html is stripped from the description to display is within the module's description field
13. If you choose to display the description you can choose to display it within the same column of the title field but below it or within it's own column. Note this only affects the grid view.
14. Once you've made your configurations click to save them within the system.

But the controls for what fields to actually display in that module you would look within the following admin tool:

LISTING SETUP > FIELDS TO USE > DISPLAY IN MODULES (tab)

and once in that tab look for the "new 1" and "new 2" columns like in this screenshot:

2. This is the tab to select to control field display within hottest, newest and standard featured (non-pic) modules
3. This is the column of fields you can control to display within the modules controlled in this tab
4. These are the individual column of checkboxes to select which fields display within the module on the client side

Note that we only show the standard listing fields configuration box within the LISTING SETUP > FIELDS TO USE admin tool There are the same controls and tabs for all field types (site wide optional, geographic, classified only, auction only….etc) within the software.

Note also there are category specific field configurations for this admin tool.

• There is no way to exclude a specific category's listing from display within this module.
