My Expired Listings

This feature allows the client to manage their expired auctions and classifieds within their client area. This feature provides different information based on the type of listing. Once logged into the site a seller will find the "my expired listings" link within the left column of their client area. To see their expired listings click that link.

Highlights of the Expired Listings Management Tool:

  • Only available within the client side user management area
  • Only available to registered users which are currently logged into the system
  • Shows list of expired listings for the currently logged in user
  • Allows "copying" (like restarting) a listing
  • Allows removal of display from the expired listings tool
  • Displays title, date started and date expired of each listing in the tool.
  • Can view the details of the expired listing
  • Displays the listings internal listing id next to the title.
  • "Renewed Auctions" are not "renewed" within the system. The auction's details are copied to a new "place an auction" process for creation of a new auction with duplicate (yet editable) details. Once "renewed" the old auction is still within the expired listings tool. A new one is simply created. Some clients may wish to remove the old auction from view within the "my expired listings" admin tool to save confusion. Auctions are treated this way to keep the original bidding and feedback data integrity.
  • "Renewed Classifieds" are actually renewed within the system. Once a classified is renewed it will not display within "my expired listings" admin tool.

When you first go into the admin tool you'll see the following:

Withing that screenshot you'll see:

  1. The listing type icon which will be either auction or classified
  2. The title of the listing with the unique listing id for that expired listing in parentheses next to it.
  3. The date the listing started
  4. The date the listing ended whether by expiring normally or ended by the seller or ended by buy now.
  5. The button that if clicked will open specific features that can be applied to each individual listing.
  6. If an auction the winning bidder and amount paid if there is a winning bidder.

Auction Speicific Information

For each auction you'll see the following:

Within that screenshot you'll see the following:

  1. The auction title with the auction's unique listing id in parentheses next to it.
  2. The "auction icon" notifying of the type of listing
  3. Auction Renewal button. This does not "renew the listing" but copies that auction's details into a "new auction placement session" the seller must step through to place a copy of the original expired listing. The auction is not renewed as there are several other features tied to the auction that must remain in the system like bids, feedback,…etc. The amount of information copied into the new auction placement process can depend on the expired or archived state of the auction. More information can be "copied over" if the auction is just expired.
  4. View details of the expired auction. The amount of information will depend on the expired or archived state of the auction. More information may display if just expired and not archived.
  5. Delete expired auction from view. While this does not fully remove the auction from the system it will no longer display within the "my expired listings" tool
  6. This is the winning bidder of the auction. This will be their user id with their email address in parentheses next to it.
  7. Next to the winning bidder's username/email will be the amount of their winning bid.
  8. Date the auction started
  9. Date the auction ended by auction expiration, seller manually closing (if you allow) or closed by a buy now bid.

Classified Specific Information

The classified does not require as much information to be displayed as the auction. You'll see the classified display explained here:

  1. This is the title of the classified with the classified's unique listing id in parentheses next to it.
  2. The listing type icon that notifies this listing is a classified.
  3. This is the classified renewal button. This will link into the renewal process. Once the renewal process is complete the same classified will not display in the expired listings admin tool until it expires the next time.
  4. This allows the client to view the details of the classified. If the listing is just expired and not archived more information may display.
  5. This button allows the client to remove this classified from display within the "my expired listings" admin tool
  6. This is the date the classified started
  7. This is the date the classified ended either by expiration or by the client removing it from display.
