The software allows you many ways to set the duration choices your clients see when they place a classified ad or auction. They are described below:

• Durations set outside the price plan are not listing specific. Those durations would apply to any listing type.

You have 3 different ways to set duration choices within the software:

1. Set site wide durations that will apply to all listings across the whole site - setting up site wide duration is explained here in the support wiki
2. Set duration choices for a specific category (if set overrides 1) - setting up category specific listing durations is explained here in the support wiki
3. Extend price plan wide "charge by duration" feature in the fee based price plan to set durations for all in that price plan. (if set overrides 1 and 2) - setting up "charge by duration" in the price plan is explained in this support wiki article
4. Extend category specific pricing feature of fee based price plans to set category specific "charge by duration" choices for users in a specific price plan for that specific category (if set overrides 1, 2 and 3) - setting up "category specific charge by duration" feature is explained in this support wiki page

• You can set a specific "end time" only for auctions. This is not a feature of the classified ad. Setting the "end time" for an auction trumps any duration set for the auction.
• You can set a specific "start time" for auctions. Note this doesn't hide the auction from display until the start time. The auction with a start time appears on the client side from the moment the listing is entered into the system but bidding doesn't start until the start time.
