19) Hide Fields Feature
This feature allows you to hide fields from display within the listing details page until a user has logged into the system.
Highlights of the hide fields feature:
- hide specific/all auction and classified ad data from view from those not logged into the software.
- site wide configuration that applies to all users
- note that only users in the system can log into the system to see listings. That means anonymous users cannot log into the system and so can never see the data hidden using this feature in a listing details page.
Where is the hidden field feature managed in the software?
You control which fields are hidden within the following admin tool:
LISTING SETUP > HIDE FIELDS
Within that tool you select which fields you want to hide from users that are not logged into the system. The settings you make here apply to all users irrespective of user group or price plan. That admin tool looks like the following:
Things to know when managing this feature
- This feature hides selected fields from all users not in the system
- Can be used in conjunction with registration control to only allow specific users to register into the site and only those can view the hidden auction and classified ad details data.
