Standard Field Display

This page should point you to where the changes would happen in the admin tool to control where standard fields appear on the client side. This includes the category browsing, search feature and all listing display modules.

Category Browsing Feature

This is the feature you see when you click on any category navigation link within the software.

Site Wide Configuration

To control the site wide display configuration for a standard field you would go to the following admin tool:

LISTING SETUP > FIELDS TO USE > DISPLAY IN PAGES

and go to the standard fields section that looks like this and click the "Display in Pages" tab like so:

and that should affect the display of standard fields within the category browsing feature as shown here:

The above is specifically showing the grid format and this controls the same for the other views.

Category Specific Configuration

You would do basically the same within the Fields to Use admin tool that you do for site wide but you need to get to the category specific configuration for the fields to use admin tool. You would do that within the following admin tool:

CATEGORIES > CATEGORIES

and click the Manage button next to the category you want to control the field configuration for like so:

and that will popup an image like this where you would click the Fields to Use button:

If you do not already have a category specific field configuration for the category you chose you will see the following:

Within the above you would select Category-Specific Settings and you would see the fields to use configuration form for that category appear allowing you to make category specific field configurations. Now you would click on the Display in Pages tab within the standard fields section to set configurations for the site wide optional fields as shown in the “site wide settings” section above.

Module Feature

Site Wide Configuration

To make a standard field display within a module site wide where ever it displays you would go to the following admin tool:

LISTING SETUP > FIELDS TO USE

and click on the Display in Modules and Display in Pic Modules and you'll see admin tools like the following:

Within those screenshots you'll see:

  1. The tab to click for the specific module type. The modules that are by default pic type modules are in their own tab
  2. This is the header row for each module in the system. You can roll your mouse over each to display that module full name.
  3. These are the checkboxes for each module and each site wide optional field to choose to display that site wide optional field within that module

Category Specific Configuration

See the Category Specific Configuration section above to find the category specific field admin tool and then look to the previous section to see the sections/tabs to look for.

Addon Feature

You can choose to display the standard fields within addons that allow for it or don't have their own individual controls for it. The storefront has it's own controls for field display but features like the browsing filter have their controls here.

Site Wide Configuration

Look to the following admin tool:

LISTING SETUP > FIELDS TO USE > DISPLAY IN ADDONS

And click the Display in Addons tab like you see here:

Within that tab you'll see checkboxes for the addons that have this type of control.

Category Specific Configuration

See the Category Specific Configuration section above to find the category specific field admin tool and then look to the previous section to see the sections/tabs to look for.
