There are several category specific configurations within the software. And managing these over many categories can be a daunting task. To alleviate that task some we have created a few tools to copy some category configurations from one category to another. You are able to copy these configurations from category to category:

Note that some configurations do not need to be copied. Note that all category configurations affect the subcategories attached to them automatically unless there is a category specific configuration for that category to override it. There are also a few settings that allow you not to affect subcategories but those situations will be covered in those specific features.

You find this admin tool within the categories admin tool:

CATEGORIES > CATEGORIES > [MANAGE] (next to category) > COPY....TO...

The following screenshots illustrate where to go:

And once you have clicked the "Copy….To…" button you will see the admin tool shown in the following screenshot:

Within that screenshot you'll see the following:

1. The category the configuration will be copied from. This is defaulted to the "manage" button next to the category you clicked in the first screenshot above.
2. Here you will set the category where the configuration will be copied to. You can insert the category id (found next to each category name in the CATEGORIES > CATEGORIES admin tool) or choose the "select category" and see a popout like that shown below where you navigate to the category to receive the copy.
3. Check this box to copy the category specific questions attached to the current category
4. Check this box to copy the category specific field configuration set for this category
5. Check this box to copy the category specific price plans attached to the this category
6. Check this box to copy the subcategories attached to the current selected category to the category selected.
7. Click the copy when you have selected all the options you wish within the above form.
