Allow Access to Your Site While It's Off
Many of our clients install the software in the final location they will be using it but don't want people to access it till they are ready to open their site. You can easily set the software to only allow those you specifically allow to the site. You can control access by ip. You start by setting your site to "off" here:
SITE SETUP > GENERAL SETTINGS > Site On/Off Switch
Then go to the following admin tool and insert all ip's you want to allow access to the site:
ADMIN TOOLS & SETTINGS > SECURITY SETTINGS > GENERAL SECURITY SETTINGS > Allowed IP's
If your friends or associates don't know their ip address to supply you simply have them go to any number of websites that will report it to them like whatismyip.com. Once this is set up anyone coming to your site using an ip address not within that list will see the "site off" default message.
