Add New Language

To create a new language in the system, simply enter a name for the language and click the "save" button. Doing so will automatically generate the text entries for this new language within the Pages Management sections of your site. These text entries will be populated from the Base Language designated on the Languages Home page.

Once you have created your new language you should immediately access the "edit" button for that language from the Languages Home page of the admin. This will allow you to set your new language to "active" or "inactive", as well as, set it to the "site default" language if desired.

<tip c n> We highly recommend that if you are going to offer more than one language on your site, to set up all of the text on the Base Language first. Then, add your new language to the site. Since your new language will automatically populate with all of the text from the Base Language text fields, you can save yourself a significant amount of time when translating the new language.</tip>
