Storefront Control Panel (Client Side)

Once a user has purchased a storefront subscription, he will be able to control the content and appearance of his storefront via the Storefront Control Panel. Links to the Storefront Control Panel appear in the My Account Links module and the Storefront box on the My Account Home page. For those sites using the older User Management Home page, there is also an addon tag available to create a link to the Storefront Control Panel. That tag is (!addon.geo_addons.storefront.control_panel_link!) 1)

<tip c n>Tip: In storefront templates, the old (!STOREFRONT_MANAGER!) tag will now be replaced with a link to the new Control Panel, instead of the old floating Manager window.</tip>

<tip c n>Warning Any WYSIWYG use in the storefront will be affected by the HTML allowed restrictions you set in the SITE SETUP > HTML ALLOWED admin tool.</tip>

Control Panel Home / Reports

Upon entering his Storefront Control Panel, a user will be greeted with the information above. The top box provides links to the other pages of the Control Panel, as well as a switch to allow a user to turn his storefront "off," hiding it from public view.

<tip c n>Tip: The amount of time a user has his store turned off does NOT count against the length of his storefront subscription. When he turns his storefront back on, the system looks at how long it has been off, and extends his overall storefront subscription by that amount of time. Note that this does not apply to Storefront subscriptions paid for using the recurring billing system.</tip>

The "reports" section of this page displays some data on traffic to the user's storefront over the past month.

Pages

From this page, a user can manage the sub-pages of his storefront. This includes creating and modifying categories for listings in the storefront, and also the creation and maintenance of entire pages of custom content.

<tip c>Tip: For users of the old, floating Storefront Manager window, this page combines the Manager's "Categories" and "Pages" functions (and adds a couple fun, new tricks)</tip>

Categories

When placing a new listing on the main site, a store owner will have the option to place it in any of the categories created on this page. Note that these categories apply only to a single user's storefront, and are completely separate from the categories you define for the main site (i.e., any given listing will have a "main" category and a "storefront" category). This page may be used to add new categories, rename or delete existing ones, or change the order in which they appear in the user's storefront.

This feature allows your clients to customize the categorization of their products by their categories. You may have many diverse categories on your base website but a specific seller may only list in one or two of them. And they may wish to categorize their products for easier browsing different than how you have done this at the site level.

Other Pages

Store owners may also create an unlimited number of other pages within their respective stores. The body of these pages is completely editable via the built-in WYSIWYG editor, and they may be added, renamed, moved, and deleted similar to categories.

Newsletter

From here, a store owner may manage his newsletter's subscribers, and send a new newsletter (email) to all subscribers. He may also elect to not accept new newsletter subscriptions, or to remove select users from the mailing list

Customize

This page allows a user to customize the appearance of his storefront. He can upload and set the dimensions of a logo, write a welcome note, and choose a general page layout from among various templates you make available through the Admin.
