The GeoProducts Bridge Addon is a next generation product integration tool which replaces our former API Addon. It allows you to operate multiple installations of our products separately while sharing the user’s registrations between the sites. What this means is that if a visitor registers on any one of your installations using a GeoProduct, they will also be registered on any other installation of yours that is running a GeoProduct.

The software comes with a Bridge skeleton, by default, which allows developers to build bridges with other 3rd party software. Bridges may be purchased directly from the Geodesic Solutions website.

The Bridge Addon has been set up with vBulletin and Phorum, so that your users can register on your GeoProduct and they will automatically be registered on your bulletin board.

Developers can use the Addon's backend to easily create a new "Bridge Type" to allow bridging the users between different 3rd Party software installations and the GeoProduct.

<tip c n> IMPORTANT: All GeoProduct Installations, vBulletin, and Phorum must be installed on the same domain. The Bridge will not work if they are on separate domains. This is due to typical server restrictions that prohibit a user (in this case the "API" itself is a "user") on one domain from writing information (in this case "User Registration" is the "information") to another domain.</tip>
